Autobahn Country Club Building Goes Up In Smoke: Joliet Fire Department Extinguish This Blaze

Sunday's fire happened in Joliet around sunrise.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet Fire Department Battalion Chief Nick A. Carbaugh issued a press release on Sunday revealing the details of Sunday's fire at the Autobahn Country Club property.

The battalion chief said the fire was reported at 5:18 a.m. as the Joliet Fire Department responded to 3400 block of CenterPoint Way for a a structure fire with smoke in a garage area on the Autobahn Country Club property.

The first units arrived within 10 minutes of the call. Upon investigation, crews found heavy smoke from garage area and smoke from second floor windows. Responding crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control and prevent exposure to neighboring buildings.

The scene was declared under control at 7 a.m. and no injuries were reported. An occupant of building was checked for injuries on the scene.
