Has Cemeno's Pizza's Greatest Day Ever Arrived? 50th Anniversary Party Just Hours Away For Community

JOLIET, IL — Wednesday marks the greatest day in the 50-year history of Cemeno's Pizza as the family-owned pizzeria, which thousands of Joliet area residents consider the best all-around pizza place in the region, holds a tent party.

The Cemeno family is throwing its 50th anniversary celebration on Wednesday, featuring live music, food specials and an alumni reunion for all past and present Cemeno workers.

The event takes place at Cemeno's main location, 1630 Essington Road. For the 50th anniversary party, Cemeno's will feature live music from The Chicago Catz. Their performance will go from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be a front entrance to the tent beer garden as well as exclusive Cemeno's merchandise available.

As for the anniversary specials, Cemeno's is offering a medium two-topping pizza for $19.76 and $5 off large and fiesta-size pizzas, as well as beer and wine specials. Visitors will be able to enjoy promotional tastings from Budweiser, Sun Cruiser and more.

Cememo's Remodels, Adds "Sepper Club" Dining Experience

In June, Cemeno's unveiled major changes to the inside of its Essington Road restaurant, announcing how "we continue introducing our newest dining experience at Cemeno's Pizza. Named after our founding, Joe 'Sepper' Cemeno, the Sepper Club celebrates the homemade Italian recipes, family traditions and hospitality that have defined Cemeno's for nearly 50 years," the Facebook post read. "As we put the finishing touches on our new menu, guests can enjoy featured dishes like our chicken piccata, chicken parmesan, baked chicken manicotti, pasta alla vodka and Sue's spicy pasta, a collection of recipes inspired by four generations of the Cemeno family. And don't worry, your favorite Cemeno's classics are still available too."
