Obituary: Patricia J. Peeples

She was a phenomenal cook, fanatical house cleaner and so loved her Chicago Cubs.

Patricia J. Peeples

Patricia J. Peeples, age 81, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026 at Loyola Medical Center with her family by her side. She is formerly of Goose Lake in Morris, IL and resided in Joliet, Shorewood and Morris all of her life. Patricia graduated from the Cathedral of St. Raymond and then from St. Francis Academy of Joliet.

She was the former office assistant of Dr. Basant Jhawar for 20 years before retiring in 2000. She was a phenomenal cook, fanatical house cleaner and so loved her Chicago Cubs.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Terry Peeples of Morris; sons, Terrance (Holly) Peeples of Channahon, and Randy (Sandi) Peeples of Channahon; daughter, Lori Peeples of Webster Groves; two granddaughters, Rebecca (Dominick) Liberatore of Oswego and Delaney (fiancé Patrick) Peeples of New Lenox; great-grandson Charles Liberatore. Also numerous cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick B. Corrigan (1956) and Florence J. Tonelli (2016); step-dad, George A. Tonelli (2006); sister, Karen A. Marquez (1994); father-in-law, Archie Peeples (2003), mother-in-law, Clementine Peeples (1957); brother-in-law, Hoyt Peeples (2007), and sister-in-law, Deborah Schmidtgal (2011).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation.

A Memorial Service for Patricia J. Peeples will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
