According to City Hall, on June 18, 2026, the Department of Public Works received a formal request for a drive thru facility for a proposed Savvy Sliders Restaurant to be located at 16301 Boulevard Place, Unit 101.

The proposed development involves the construction of a new 8,702 square foot building with three tenants on Lot 8 within the Boulevard Subdivision. The Savvy Sliders Restaurant will be located on the west end of the new building and will include a drive thru window. It should be noted that the Mayor and City Council previously approved a drive thru permit for a Starbucks Restaurant at this same location. The Starbucks was never built, and this new application is using the same plan that was previously approved, Joliet pointed out.
