Where To Find Cooling Centers In Joliet During Extreme Heat Wave

The National Weather Service issued an extreme heat advisory for the entire Chicagoland area, as forecasters predict dangerous conditions.

JOLIET, IL — Dangerous heat and humidity will hit Joliet this week, according to the National Weather Service, with highs well into the 90s and peak temperatures of up to 105 degrees daily.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory in Will County. Conditions are expected to get dangerously hot and humid starting Monday through late Wednesday, forecasters said.

"The magnitude of anticipated heat, combined with oppressive warmth at night will lead to hazardous conditions, particularly for the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions," forecasters said.
