Blood Drive

Did you know that more than 75% of Americans reaching age 72 will need donated blood within their lifetime, and that 97% will have a loved one who will need blood? There is no substitute for human blood.

First Presbyterian Church of La Grange is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, October 27, in Westminster Hall (enter through the Catherine Ave. side door). Use this link to schedule your appointment. There will be space for walk-in donors as well.

Haven’t donated blood before? Check out this brief video of the process, from checking in to enjoying your post-donation snacks. The donation process is segmented into five parts: registration, questionnaire, mini physical, blood collection and refreshments. The process for whole blood donation usually takes about one hour. The blood collection itself takes about 10 minutes. You will receive a Halloween T-shirt as a thank-you for helping to save lives!
