Lyons Township High Poms Team Nabs 1st Trophy At State Event
The team then went on to place in a national competition.
LA GRANGE, IL – Lyons Township High School's poms team has made program history.
It won its first trophy with a second-place finish in the 3A Division in the Illinois High School Association's competitive dance state finals, according to a school news release.
After the historic finish, the team traveled to the National Dance Team Championship, where it continued to showcase its talent, the school said.

The poms team placed fifth nationally in the Jazz Finals and 11th place in the Game Day Routine category.
"These accomplishments reflect the team's dedication, discipline, and countless hours of preparation," the school said in the news release. "Their success at both the state and national levels highlights the continued growth and excellence of the LTHS Poms program."
