Lake County Celebrates 250 Year Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence

Lake County leaders Jessica Vealitzek, Lake County Forest Preserves President, Phillip DeRuntz, Lake County Regional Office of Education Board of Trustees President, and Sandy Hart, Lake County Board Chair celebrated the culmination of the America 250 Independence Academy. The Independence Academy was a civic education program designed to highlight how local government works and how the principles of the Declaration of Independence continue to shape the services provided to our communities today.
