Lake Forest College Awarded 2025 Harm Reduction Award

The GPF Foundation honored the college for its dedication to mitigating harm related to the use of recreational drugs.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Lake Forest was named the most recent recipient of the GPF Foundation's Harm Reduction Award, which honors those who contribute significantly to saving lives through awareness.

The college and the foundation have a long-running partnership that helps bring specialized education to campus for students. For example, students are able to take narcan training through harm reduction workshops.

“Lake Forest College is deeply grateful for the award and the lasting engagement with the Foundation that is both collaborative and impactful on the community. We look forward to continuing this productive partnership for years to come,” said Lake Forest College President Michael Sosulski.

The GPF Foundation was established in 2018 in honor of Gregory Paul Friedman. Its mission is to support education, appropriate treatment and overall awareness of the dangers related to recreational drugs.

In pursuit of its mission, the GPF Foundation focuses on education and medical initiatives.
