Chicago Area Runners Association Holds Annual Spring Trail Race In Lemont
Registration is still open for Sunday's race; it is CARA's only trail run and race in the suburbs.
LEMONT, IL — The Chicago Areas Runners Association will hold its annual Spring Trail race on Sunday at The Forge: Lemont Quarries in Lemont.
The association said this is CARA's only trail run and race in the suburbs. Nearly 500 runners are anticipated to run in Sunday's race.
The race begins at 8 a.m., and the 10K course will follow the trails at The Forge: Lemont Quarries. Registration is still open, and is $55 if you aren't a CARA member.

An awards ceremony will follow the race at 9:15 a.m.
According to the association, the Spring Trail Chase 10K is park of the 2026 Chicago Racing Circuit.

"The Circuit provides a competitive structure and recognition for Chicagoland runners and clubs," CARA's website states.
