Jerome Jan Sarich passed away peacefully at his home in Shorewood, Illinois, on Thursday, August 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Jerry was born on December 30, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Jerome J. Bernaciak and Diane Sarich. He was raised in Hickory Hills and graduated from Amos Alonzo Stagg High School, where he formed many lifelong friendships and began building the strong work ethic that would define his life.
Jerry dedicated several years of his career to the Teamsters before pursuing his entrepreneurial spirit by founding Accurate Home Inspections. What began as a remodeling and home inspection business evolved over more than 20 years into a respected company specializing in home inspections. Jerry took great pride in helping homeowners make informed decisions and was known for his honesty, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.

Outside of work, Jerry embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved traveling to beautiful island destinations, where he enjoyed relaxing by the ocean and creating lasting memories. He had a lifelong fascination with airplanes and aviation, and he was deeply proud to be an American. Above all, Jerry treasured the time he spent with his family, whose love and support were the greatest joys of his life.
Jerry is survived by his loving partner of 25 years, Kelly Manfred; his three sons, Jamie (Alyssa) Belzek, Jerry Sarich, Jr., and Nick Sarich; grandchildren, Joey Belzek, Mason Halter, Ben Belzek, and Mila Sarich; and his sister, Michelle Sarich.
He is preceded by his parents.
Funeral Services for Jerome Jan Sarich will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL.Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.Visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
