Lemont Student Receives Scholarship From Butterfield Partners
Three area students were chosen for the awards for a total of $5,000 to support their higher education goals.
LEMONT, IL — Three area students, including one from Lemont High School, were chosen to receive scholarships from Butterfield Partners, a Northwestern Mutual private client group, located in Downers Grove.
The business shared that this was the inaugural year for the Vincent J. Delack Scholarship Award. The scholarship was created to honor the retirement of a founding partner of Butterfield Partners.
Earlier this year, three students were chosen by a committee for the awards for a total of $5,000 to support their higher education goals, the business said. Applicants were evaluated based on a personal essay describing their academic achievements, leadership and community involvement.

"These exceptional students demonstrated a deep commitment to their communities and their studies. We
are excited to help fund their future success," Butterfield Partners shared.
The award recipients are: Jakub Wesoly of Lemont, attending University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; Emma Alstott of Shorewood, attending Mississippi State University; and
William Salgado of Franklin Park, attending Elmhurst University.
