LHS Senior Earns Perfect Score On ACT

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School senior Ishan Samani has earned the highest possible ACT Composite Score of 36, his family shared with Patch.

According to ACT, about one-quarter of 1 percent of students who take the ACT earn a top score. In the U.S. high school graduating class of 2025, only 2,958 out of more than 1.38 million students who took the ACT earned a top composite score of 36.

"Ishan has been actively involved in his academics and has demonstrated a strong commitment to learning throughout his high school career," Ishan's dad, Jatin, said.

The LHS senior is involved in National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, robotics, varsity tennis and the Health Occupations Student Association.

Jatin added that Ishan has also maintained a perfect GPA while taking multiple AP courses.

"Ishan is equally committed to serving his community," Jatin said. "He serves as a Junior Board Member for the West Suburban Community Pantry and regularly volunteers at the pantry and his local library, dedicating his time to helping others."

Jatin said the perfect score is "a rare accomplishment and reflects years of hard work, dedication and academic excellence."

He added that the family is very proud of Ishan's achievements.
