Ronald D. DeJule
Ronald D. DeJule, passed away at the age of 89 on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at his home. Ronald was born on November 7, 1936, the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (nee Stefanich) DeJule. He attended Rockdale grade school and was a graduate of Joliet Township High School Class with the class of 1954. He was a proud US Navy Veteran.

Ron was employed by Meadow Gold Dairy and later worked for Com Ed. A devout Catholic, he was deeply involved with St. Joseph Parish in Joliet throughout his life. He generously volunteered at Sunny Hill Nursing Home, coached youth baseball at St. Joe’s Park, and was a proud and dedicated dance dad.
He was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ron and his beloved wife, Beverly, enjoyed their retirement together before her passing, especially traveling to Branson, and Florida. Family was everything to him, and he was always there through both good times and the difficult ones.

Ron had a gift for making friends wherever he went and was well loved by the many friends he made at Willow Falls, where he truly believed no one was ever a stranger. He also had a special love for his dogs and granddogs, who brought him great joy throughout the years.
Ronald is survived by his children, Jeff (Sharon) DeJule, Greg DeJule, and Jill (John) Condron; his sister, Cindy (Jon) Larson; grandchildren, Sara (Kevin) O’Malley, Kristina (Robert) Stroud, Emily (Jeff) Meyer, Liam and Colin Condron; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Jack and Shea O’ Malley, Layla and Matthew Stroud, Jude, Theo and Ruthie Meyer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly and son, Timothy DeJule.
A Memorial Gathering for Ronald D. DeJule will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 416 N. Chicago St., Joliet, IL, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of his Memorial Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.
