Fire Breaks Out In Room At Libertyville Hotel
Guests were evacuated during the fire on Wednesday evening.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A fire broke out in a room Wednesday afternoon at Sonesta Suites, 1100 N. US Highway 45 in Libertyville, fire officials said.
Fire crews were dispatched at 4:50 p.m. to the hotel, where they confirmed a fire occurred in one of the rooms and was extinguished by the building's fire suppression system.
Fire companies evacuated guests from the building, according to a new release from the Libertyville Fire Department.

Crews from area departments worked to contain the water and minimize damage and get guests back into as many rooms as possible, officials said.
According to the fire department, fire crews were able to contain the area of the damage and worked with hotel management to safely return most of the guests to their rooms.

No injuries were reported at the scene.
The fire remains under investigation, but the cause appears to be accidental, officials said.
