Mundelein’s Stars On Parade Art Exhibit Is Growing
A new star sculpture planned for Fremont Public Library will join 17 existing works displayed around the village.
MUNDELEIN, IL — Mundelein’s Stars on Parade public art exhibition is expanding, with officials seeking an artist to design a new star-shaped sculpture for display outside Fremont Public Library.
The large replica of Mundelein’s star-shaped logo will be displayed outside the library at 1170 N. Midlothian Road, according to the Daily Herald. The village’s Stars on Parade exhibition began in 2020 with 15 fiberglass stars decorated by local artists and displayed throughout downtown Mundelein.
The new sculpture would add to the collection, which includes pieces such as “Alice in Wonderland,” created by artist Talia Zavialov and installed at the Ace Hardware store on Hawley Street, the Daily Herald is reporting.
