297-Unit Apartment Complex Gets Nod From Naperville Planning And Zoning
The CityGate II development will feature studio, one-, and two-bedroom units starting around $1,900.

NAPERVILLE, IL — On Wednesday, the Naperville Planning and Zoning Commission positively recommended approval of zoning measures that would permit a 297-unit apartment complex to be built at CityGate Centre, 1900 Ferry Rd.
The proposed CityGate II development would occupy five acres of land with a four-story apartment building, consisting of 476,278 square feet. The proposal calls for a five-story parking deck with 414 spaces, according to city documents.
The building would house 225 studio and one-bedroom units and 72 two-bedroom units, along with a fitness center.

Petitioners are also proposing a courtyard with an outdoor pool and a pickleball court for the property.
According to city documents, studio and one-bedroom units would be priced between $1,900 and $2,400, according to a news release. Two-bedroom units would be priced between $3,000 and $4,000.

The development requires a conditional use permit to allow a multi-family housing development in an area zoned for Office Commercial and Institutional (OCI) use.
Zoning approvals are also sought for variations in parking, building height and building setback.
The proposal will now move to the Naperville City Council.
