Council To Review Restaurant Drive-Thru Proposal For BP In Naperville
Petitioners are hoping to add a drive-thru for a restaurant to the gas station and convenience store at 1532 N. Aurora Rd.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville City Council will review a request Tuesday to add a drive-thru for a restaurant at the BP located at 1532 N. Ogden Ave. To move forward, petitioners CIMA Developments, LP, must obtain a conditional use permit and get approval for a zoning variance that would allow for a 66-foot bypass lane for the proposed 170-foot drive-thru.
Naperville's Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing for the proposal on Dec. 17 and has recommended approval by city council, with conditions. Outlined in city documents, the condition would require proof of sufficient drive-thru stacking to be submitted before a certificate of occupancy could be issued for the proposed restaurant.
CIMA Developments LP submitted results from queuing and stacking studies for Dunkin Donuts and Jimmy Johns locations in other Illinois suburbs as possible occupants, though no specific restaurant has been confirmed for the 1532 N. Ogden Ave. location.
