Film Screening at the Old Joliet Prison "Route 66: The Main Street of America"

Join us at the Old Joliet Prison on Friday, Sept. 4th from 5pm to 9:30pm for the Film Screening of "Route 66: The Main Street of America".

"Route 66: The Main Street of America" is a centennial celebration of this legendary highway. It’s a powerfully moving feature-length documentary that travels the route, sharing unforgettable stories along the way. From unexpected roadside attractions to revitalized main streets, each encounter reveals communities finding new life and purpose—making new history—proving the most meaningful journeys often unfold on the road less traveled.

The Main Street of America Roadshow is a rolling premiere bringing the film directly to communities that define Route 66. The Roadshow will travel all eight Route 66 states, stopping in Joliet on September 4th for a screening at the Old Joliet Prison! Following the film, stay for a live Q&A with filmmaker John Paget and featured participants from the film.
