Garage Fire Causes $100K In Damage To Naperville Home

Officials say the fire broke out Thursday evening at a home on Black Walnut Court.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A fire that started in an attached garage caused $100,000 to a home in Naperville Thursday evening.

Firefighters were called to a home in the 1500 block of Black Walnut Court around 5:45 p.m. for a smoke investigation. When fire crews got to the scene, they found smoke coming from the roof of the garage.

A hose was used to extinguish the fire, which was in the attic's garage. No one was hurt in the blaze, which was determined to have been accidental.
