Inaugural 'Naperville Possibility Festival' Planned For October

NAPERVILLE, IL — The inaugural Naperville Possibility Festival will be held Oct. 10 and Oct. 11 at Central Park. The two-day Possibility Festival aims to nurture connection and combat isolation among high school and college-age students.

Inspired by the Possibility Festival events brought to life across the U.S. by author Alex Banayan, the Naperville event will be presented by a collaboration between Go Brewing, KidsMatter, Alive Center and Inside Out Club.

The concept was first introduced to Naperville officials by Go Brewing founder Joe Chura, who attended one of the first Possibility Festivals.

Chura said in a statement, “I began the day at the Possibility Festival without knowing what to expect and left completely inspired, having gained new skills and techniques to manage challenges that I and many others face today. So much so that I worked with the event's founder to explore how I can bring it closer to home, knowing how many people could benefit from this completely free resource."

During the Naperville Possibility Festival, participants can take part in interactive exercises, discussions and playful physical games designed to foster deep connections.

The Naperville event will be led by a team of nearly two dozen youth volunteers.

“The Naperville Possibility Festival is a wonderful opportunity for students who want to experience new friendships, engaging activities and a weekend designed to build meaningful connections,” Nina Menis, CEO and Executive Director of KidsMatter, said in a statement.

Menis added, “Together with our partners, we’re excited to offer this amazing event for high school and college students in our community.”
