This July Saw Fewer DUIs In Naperville Than Last Year, Monthly Average Still Higher
Naperville police made 17 DUI arrests this July.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police made fewer DUI arrests this July than they did last July, but the monthly average for 2026 is still slightly higher than it was for last year.
City documents show that 17 drivers were charged with DUI in Naperville in July 2026, whereas 26 drivers were charged with DUI in Naperville in July 2025.
Of the DUI arrests made this month, seven drivers were from Naperville. Three of the drivers arrested refused a breathalyzer test. The highest blood alcohol content (BAC) recorded in July 2026 was .234, nearly three times the legal limit.

The monthly average for 2026 is currently 18.5. Last year's monthly average was 17.8 at the close of the year.
As of the end of July, police in Naperville had made 130 DUI arrests. At the close of 2025, they had made 214 DUI arrests. The yearly DUI arrest total for 2024 was 173.
