When they got to the scene, police were informed that two women had come to the location so one of them could fight Mays. Police say Toney and Green drew a gun during the fight between the woman and Mays. They are also accused of battering the second woman at the scene and stealing her backpack, which police say contained a gun.

Police arrested Mays shortly after as he tried to get into a rideshare car. He is accused of having the stolen backpack in his possession. Green and Toney were arrested after police searched Green's home and reported finding a stolen item and the handgun they believe was used in the incident.
