Styrofoam Recycling Event To be Held In Naperville

Residents will be able to bring packing foam, to-go boxes and other Styrofoam items for recycling.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville has partnered with Dart Container to host a Styrofoam recycling event on July 18. The event will offer an opportunity for residents to recycle Styrofoam, which is often rerouted from standard recycling collection to landfills.

The Styrofoam event recycling will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Route 59 Metra Station 475 Fairway Dr., Naperville.

Acceptable items include packing peanuts and Styrofoam packaging materials, along with cleaned to-go containers that are made from Styrofoam. Egg cartons, ice chests and meat and vegetable trays will also be accepted, if they have been cleaned.
