Michael Joseph Konrath
Michael Joseph Konrath, age 64, passed away on June 16, 2026, in Joliet, Illinois. He was born on February 13, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late James and Miyuki Konrath. Born and raised in Chicago, IL, he was a graduate of Hubbard High School.

Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he earned recognition as an Expert with the M-16 rifle and received the Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon. His service reflected the dedication and steadiness that carried through many parts of his life.
Michael retired in 2023 after 16 dedicated years as a Machine Operator at the Costco warehouse in Morris. Outside of work, Michael enjoyed fishing, boating, and motorcycles. He loved music, especially classic rock, and was known as a good barbecue cook. Adventurous and loving, he found great joy in time spent with his family.

Guided by his deep faith, Michael was a dedicated member of Community Christian Church in Plainfield, Illinois, attending services with his wife for many years.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Stephanie Renee (nee Wilson) Konrath; three daughters, Alexandra (Vincent) Gaetano, Natasha (Zachary) Dodd, and Natalie Konrath; two granddaughters, Aria and Siena Gaetano; and his siblings, Marie (Ed) Montvidas, James Konrath, and Carol (Walter) Konsavich. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded by his parents.
He will be remembered with deep affection for his devotion to his family, his adventurous spirit, and the many ways he brought warmth, strength, and love to those around him.
Family and friends are invited to meet at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the public information center at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for inurnment at 9:30 a.m. with full military honors being held under the auspices of the United States Army, the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad, and the Illinois Patriot Guard. There will be a Celebration of Life following the inurnment at Community Christian Church, 24035 Riverwalk Ct., Plainfield, IL, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Service at 12:30 p.m. As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in name to Will County Humane Society.
