Wilmington Man, 40, Made Threats Against NL American Legion Post, Charged With DUI: New Lenox Police

NEW LENOX, IL — A Wilmington man was charged with DUI early Sunday, after also allegedly making threats against the New Lenox American Legion post, according to New Lenox police reports.

New Lenox police were called to Tom E. Hartung American Legion Post 1977 for a disturbance just after midnight Aug. 23. An employee told police a man was "making threats of harm toward the establishment" and left in a vehicle, according to police. The employee gave a description of the vehicle, and police spotted it leaving the parking lot.

Police were attempting to catch up to the car for a traffic stop, when the driver—identified as Rocky Keane, 40—pulled into a dead-end area and left the vehicle on foot, according to police reports.

The officer stopped Keane and, after an investigation, determined that he was impaired and under the influence of alcohol, according to police.

He was taken into custody and transported to the New Lenox Police Department, where he was processed and released.
