'You're Dead,' Man Threatened Police, Patrons With Golf Club Outside Gaming Café: New Lenox PD

NEW LENOX, IL — An Arizona man was arrested after threatening patrons and resisting arrest outside a gaming café Saturday night, according to New Lenox police reports.

Police were called at 11 p.m. Sept. 12 to Zin Club, 2461 E. Joliet Highway, for a report of a disturbance. The caller stated a man was standing near the doors of the business with a golf club threatening other patrons.

Police at the scene learned that Shannon Enderson, 48, of Arizona, had a verbal altercation with a patron and had been escorted from the business. Enderson then retrieved a golf club and threatened patrons in the business. While officers investigated the incident, Enderson was "extremely uncooperative," according to police reports.

He made several attempts to re-enter the business and "made physical contact with an officer" to attempt to enter the business, according to reports.

Enderson later "became irate" and started screaming, "You’re dead," at the officers. Officers attempted to secure Enderson in
handcuffs, and he resisted by tensing his muscles and refusing to comply with commands, according to police reports.

Enderson was eventually taken into custody and transported to the New Lenox Police Department, where he was charged with obstructing and resisting a peace officer, processed and released.
