Hall Of Fame Trip: Northbrook Baseball Set To Play In Cooperstown
A number of local businesses are helping fund the trip to New York for the Glenbrook North Feeder 12U Green baseball team.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The National Baseball Hall of Fame honors some of the best players in history. A group of Northbrook boys are planning to make their own special trip to Cooperstown to check out the popular museum, all while also playing some baseball in New York.
The trip for Glenbrook North Feeder 12U Green is planned for July 28 through Aug. 2. Parent Erica Marks told Patch that 21 local businesses (see list below) have helped with the cost of the "incredibly expensive" trip. A ceremony to honor the donations is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. Friday at Techny Field No. 29, off Techny Road, just east of Anets Drive.
Marks said fundraising began in October 2020, with the team raising over $20,000 to date. The 21 local sponsors contributed for a total of $12,000.
