See the latest announcement from the Northbrook Public Library.
Get ready to preview our new catalog
Starting Monday, August 3, you will be able to preview our new BiblioCore catalog, which will offer:
- A more powerful keyword search and simplified search results that group different formats of the same title
- Improved accessibility and a cleaner, more intuitive interface across devices
- Easier browsing to discover materials, including expertly curated booklists
- The ability to contribute reviews, ratings, and comments
How to access the preview
- Beginning Monday, August 3, a banner will appear in our catalog, giving you the option to preview the new catalog ahead of its September 1 launch.
- Because this is a new system, you will need to complete a brief, one-time registration process using your library card number and password, the first time you log in.
- The preview catalog is fully functional, so after you create your new login, you will be able to access your account, place holds, renew materials, etc. During the preview phase, our current catalog will remain available, and you can switch between the current and new versions.
Timeline
- Monday, August 3: Library cardholders can begin using the new catalog during the preview phase.
- Tuesday, September 1: The new BiblioCore catalog will replace our existing catalog.
