The Man Who Wanted to Fly  Age is no deterrent to the fulfillment of one man's lifelong dream in this surprising and heartwarming documentary that has become a popular hit in Ireland. Eighty-something bachelor Bobby and Ernie Coote share a home on their 150-year-old family farm near Bailieborough in County Cavan. Introvert Ernie is content to explore the world from the safety of his CB radio, but adventerous Bobby, a musician, a violin-maker, and repairer of antique clocks, aches to soar the skies as the pilot of his own plane.

Mai Fest is back for the 5th year bigger than ever!&nbsp; With over 100 artisan vendors, 4 live bands, and food and drink, it promises to be a great day!&nbsp; A great way to celebrate Mother's Day weekend..find mom the perfect gift, or spend the day perusing the handmade goods and enjoying the live music.&nbsp; The fest runs from Noon to 5pm.&nbsp; There is free parking available in the city lots off of Western Ave north of the Cal Sag, and there will be a free shuttle to transport folks from the lots to and from the fest.

Tickets: Member - $10 Non-member - $15 James Joyce’s epic story of one day in one city is brought to life in this inventive new show, bringing Ireland’s most notorious book to audiences aged 8 and upwards, and to all those who haven’t got around to reading it yet.
Combining live performance, intricate paper design, an original score and Joyce’s odyssey, this is theatre that will excite both young and old.

Originally commissioned by and produced as part of Ulysses 2.2, a collaborative project between ANU, Landmark Productions and Museum of Literature Ireland.
<a href="https://ulysses22.ie/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Ulysses 2.2</a> was a year-long, nationwide programme of thrilling new artistic experiments in 2022, created by a rich and diverse gathering of established and emerging Irish artists, presented in a range of live performances, digital commissions and installations. 
Along with this stage version, on 16 June 2022, children throughout Ireland were invited to take part in <a href="https://ulysses22.ie/mybloomsday" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">My Bloomsday</a> to celebrate and tell us about their Bloomsday, 100 years on from the book’s original publication date. This included a film version of the show which can still be viewed on the <a href="https://ulysses22.ie/episodes/youll-see" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Ulysses 2.2 website </a>All are welcome at Chicago Gaelic Park. This is an Irish dance competition that features 4 stages. “Feis” (pronounced phonetically “fesh” in English) is an Irish word meaning “festival” and has come to describe a traditional Gaelic arts and culture festival. First place winner of the Dennehy competition receives free registration at next year's feis.Questions?
