Country Club Hills Man Charged After Shots Fired At Oak Forest Home: Police

The 18-year-old man has been charged after a months-long investigation into shots fired at a residence in March, police said Thursday.

OAK FOREST, IL – A Country Club Hills man has been charged after firing a gun at an Oak Forest home in March, police said Thursday.

After a four-month investigation, Oak Forest police charged Jordan Butler, 18, with aggravated discharge of a firearm (class 1 felony) into a residence. It happened around 3:40 a.m. March 11 in the 16500 block of Knottingwood, and no one was injured during the incident, police said.

Butler was detained by the judge at his preliminary hearing at the Bridgeview Courthouse on Wednesday, July 8.

“I am really proud of the collaborative effort between the patrol officers and detectives on this case,” said Detective Sergeant Michael Lynch Jr. “It was great police work from the officers who initially responded to the call, to the investigators who were ultimately able to get charges approved.”
