Oak Lawn Woman Killed In Deadly I-57 Crash, IDOT Worker Injured
A passenger vehicle and IDOT SUV had pulled over to the shoulder of I-57 when both were struck by another vehicle, ISP said.
BLUE ISLAND, IL—An Oak Lawn woman was killed early Sunday morning in a crash on I-57 near 127th Street that also injured an Illinois Department of Transportation worker, Illinois State Police said.
State troopers responded to a crash at 4:46 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-55 near 127th Street. A preliminary investigation revealed that a passenger vehicle and IDOT SUV involved in an accident had pulled over to the side of the road when both were struck by another vehicle, setting off the deadly crash.
A woman was transferred to Ingalls Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. She was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner as Jocilyn Buckley, 27, of Oak Lawn.

The IDOT worker was also transported with injuries to a hospital. Their condition is unknown.
Both lanes were shut down for the traffic crash investigation, with traffic passing through the scene on the right shoulder. All lanes were reopened around 9:25 a.m.
