Man, 77, Found Dead Inside Orland Park Home, Police Investigating
Heavy police activity was reported at the home in the 14100 block of Concord Drive Wednesday evening.
ORLAND PARK, IL — A 77-year-old Orland Park man was found dead inside his home Wednesday evening, police said Thursday.
The man's death was first reported by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office Thursday morning.

On April 29, at 6:31 p.m., Orland Park Police Officers responded to 14117 Concord Drive for an assist-ambulance call, police said Thursday. Officers spoke with the 911 caller, who reported that a man was dead inside the residence. Police at the scene found Samir Kassem, 77, dead inside the home.
Orland Park police said on social media just before 8 p.m. Wednesday that there was a heavy police presence in the 14100 block of Concord Drive and that there did not appear to be a threat to the public.

Police late Wednesday night declined to provide any additional information, saying only that there was an active investigation.
Per Orland Park Police Department standard operating procedures, a death investigation is currently underway, police said Thursday. At this stage of the investigation, there is no risk to the public, police said.
Kassem was pronounced dead at 6:49 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office. He lived at the home, according to records.
A cause and manner of death have not been disclosed.
Police did not disclose any additional details regarding the circumstances around the man's death.
