Saints Hockey Club, Orland Police & Fire To Face Off For Charity

The Saints & Sirens charity hockey game is set for Friday, March 13.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Some of Orland's finest and bravest will again take to the ice against local high school players, in the return of an event to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Illinois, in addition to supporting the high school hockey club.

The Saints Hockey Club is in part the formerly named Sandburg Eagles Hockey Club, now merged with other District 230 schools, in addition to Tinley Park, Stagg, Homewood-Flossmoor, and Argo high schools to become the Saints Hockey Club. The team features players fraom all

The Saints & Sirens charity hockey game is set for Friday, March 13 at Arctic Ice Arena, 10700 160th St. Proceeds benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois and the Saints Hockey Club. The hockey club aims to raise $20,000 this year.

The Saints club team will face off against players from the Orland Park Police Department and Orland Fire Protection District. Proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics and hockey club. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drop at 7 p.m.

The charity game is in its 3rd year. Last year, the event drew 500 spectators, Saints Hockey Cub President Joe Rihani sid.

Tickets in advance are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and can be reserved in advance. Children 6 and under are free.

Tickets at the door are $15.
