Motorcyclist Killed In Route 34 Crash ID'd As Oswego Man
Oswego police shared an update about Saturday's fatal crash on Route 34 as the incident remains under investigation.
OSWEGO, IL — The van carrying an enclosed trailer that a motorcyclist crashed into before he died Saturday was lawfully making a turn into a driveway in the 4000 block of Route 34, Oswego police said in an update Tuesday.
The Kane County Coroner's Office identified the motorcycle driver as Stone Antrim, a 20-year-old resident of Oswego.
Preliminary findings from Monday's autopsy indicated Antrim died of multiple injuries consistent with a crash, police shared. Toxicology samples are undergoing analysis at a national forensic lab.

The motorcyclist crashed into the trailer around 1:40 p.m. Saturday. The van, driven by a 31-year-old man, was driving east on Route 34 and turned into a driveway near Wolf Road and was hit by the 20-year-old driver. The van's turn was lawful, and its turn signal was activated at the time of the crash, police said.

Police shared Tuesday that witnesses reported seeing multiple motorcycles traveling together at a high rate of speed in the area prior to the crash.
Bystanders performed CPR on the motorcyclist while police were en route, then officers took over medical care until paramedics arrived, Patch reported. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing, pending the completion of a traffic crash reconstruction report, police said.
