Palatine National Night Out Set For Aug. 5 At Falcon Park

PALATINE, IL — Palatine residents will have a chance to meet local first responders, explore emergency vehicles and take part in family activities when National Night Out returns Aug. 5.

The Palatine Police Department, Palatine Park District and Palatine Police Boosters Club will host the free event from 5 to 8 p.m. at Falcon Park, 2195 N. Hicks Road.

National Night Out is an annual campaign designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve while promoting neighborhood safety and camaraderie.

“This event is a great opportunity for residents and first responders to come together in a fun and informal setting,” Deputy Chief David Brandwein said in a statement. “We encourage everyone to join us as we celebrate the partnerships that make our community stronger.”

What To Expect

The event will include representatives from the police and fire departments, public works and other village departments.

Planned attractions include:

• Police and emergency vehicle displays
• K-9 demonstrations
• Inflatables and family activities
• A reptile show
• Community resource booths
• Giveaways and interactive exhibits
• Opportunities to meet police officers, firefighters and village employees

Organizers said the event will also give residents a chance to learn about public-safety programs and community resources.

Admission and parking are free.
