Dedicated to Excellence: D230 Board Leadership Recognized Statewide

Consolidated High School District 230 is proud to share that two members of our D230 Board of Education have been formally recognized by the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) through its Board Leader Recognition Program. This program honors school board members across the state who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to ongoing governance training, leadership development, and service to public education.

Board Member Honors:

Dr. Lynn Zeder (Board President): Recognized as an Established Board Leader

Dr. Zeder earned this honor by completing significant professional development hours and active leadership engagement through the IASB. This distinction reflects her dedication to staying informed on educational issues, state policies, and effective board governance practices to support our district's vision and students.

Sue Dalton (Board Member): Recognized with Distinguished Annual Merit

Building on her designation as a Distinguished Board Leader, Ms. Dalton earned the Annual Merit honor by continuing to log high levels of professional learning and division activity over the past year. Her ongoing commitment underscores a long-standing dedication to strong fiduciary responsibility, community trust, and educational excellence.

Effective governance requires continuous learning. By participating in workshops, legislative assemblies, and leadership conferences, our board members ensure our district remains well-managed, transparent, and aligned with best practices.
