Palos 118 School District Recognized for Excellence in Financial Reporting
This is the 23rd straight year that District 118 has been recognized for excellence in financial reporting.
Palos School District 118 has been named the recipient of the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting.
“This award represents a significant achievement and reflects your commitment to transparency and high-quality financial reporting,” said James M. Rowan, CEO and Executive Director of ASBO in a letter announcing the award.
The District received the most recent award from ASBO for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2025. It is the District’s 23rd straight year receiving the recognition.

Dr. Anthony Scarsella, Palos 118 Superintendent of Schools, commended the District 118 Business Office for its continued commitment to sound budgeting practices and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
“Their work provides the transparency our community expects and demonstrates how our school district uses taxpayer resources to support the best possible outcomes for our students,” said Dr. Scarsella.
