Palos Heights First Responders Build Community Ties At National Night Out

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL—Join your Palos Heights first responders for National Night Out, Tuesday, Aug. 4. The free, take-a-bite-out-of-crime event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Palos Heights police station, 7607 W. College Drive.

Leave the porch light on and come out to celebrate with family, friends and neighbors for a fun-filled night, and come out and meet your first responders.

Take a tour of the police station and learn about crime prevention and personal safety. There will be interactive activities for kids and adults alike, including K9 demos, special police and fire vehicles, a DJ, police station tours, magic show, reptile show, bounce house, prizes, food and vendors.

Since the first National Night Out in 1984, more than 38 million neighbors in 17,000 communities throughout the nation will hold some type of event promoting community building and public safety. It’s a night to build police-community partnerships and strengthen neighborhood spirit.
