Palos South Cardinals Take Home Top Trophies At SWIC Track Meet

PALOS PARK, IL—The Palos South Middle School Cardinals track teams took home several top trophies from the Southwest Interschool Conference at Andrew High School in May.

The seventh-grade girls and boys teams, along with the eighth-grade boys team, all earned first-place finishes. The eighth-grade girls team won second place. The team’s coaches include Tim Kahle, Ashley Partin, Katie Wollschlager, and Ryan Capriotti.

Coach Ashley Partin noted that she and the other coaches were proud of the student athletes for their performance at the conference and during the regular season.

“Winning three conference titles and a second-place finish speaks volumes about the dedication, resilience, and competitiveness of our athletes,” Partin said, who also singled out the team’s support of one another and the pride they took in representing Palos South in the competition.

“This was an outstanding weekend for our program, and we couldn’t be prouder of our athletes,” the coach said.
