D202 Preschool Registration Opens With No Lottery

PLAINFIELD, IL — Registration opened Tuesday for the 2026-27 school year at Bonnie McBeth Learning Center using a new in-person-only, open registration model.

Registration begins with a window for returning students and siblings, followed by open registration dates for all families, and then continued weekday registration until programs are full. No online registration will be available.

This is the timeline:

• Jan. 27: Registration opens for returning students and siblings
• Feb. 13: Deadline for returning students and siblings registration
• Feb. 26: First open registration day, 3:30-7 p.m.
• Feb. 27: Second open registration day, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Beginning March 2: Registration continues from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday until programs are full. Parents should contact Bobbie Meridieth at 815-557-4127 for availability updates.

The learning center, at 15730 Howard St., serves as Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202's tuition-based preschool and early childhood program. The school blends hands-on, child-directed learning with comprehensive support services to meet the needs of each child, district officials said.

"Our preschool program is built to support the whole child," BMLC principal Kristin Brower said in a statement. "From small class sizes to on-site services and certified staff, we are committed to creating an engaging learning experience where children can thrive."

Parents will be able to apply for the two-, three- and five-day programs at BMLC. Applications will also be available for the five-day programs at these off-campus preschool locations: Creekside Elementary School, Freedom Elementary School, Meadow View Elementary School and Ridge Elementary School.

Enrollment for the general education preschool program at BMLC is open to all District 202 children ages 3-5. Students must be 3 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2026, to enroll for the 2026-27 school year.

On all registration dates, families must bring a completed registration packet, all required proofs of residency, and a $100 non-refundable deposit.
