D202's Homecoming Parade Will Be Road Trip-Themed This Year: Applications Open
Plainfield high school students can look forward to their school's homecoming game and dance in September and October.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Applications are open for Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202's Homecoming Parade, set for 9 a.m. Sept. 26.
The theme for the 74th annual parade is "road trip," district officials announced.
Floats should be decorated as participants' favorite vacation destinations or on theme, such camping or fishing. They can also be a place along the famed Route 66, officials suggested.

Those interested can apply to be one of 80 entries in the parade using this form on the district's website. A $50 entry fee is required to participate. Checks should be made out to the Plainfield Homecoming Committee at Plainfield Central High School, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive.
