Police Respond To 'Active Incident' Near Downtown Plainfield
Residents nearby reported getting shelter-in-place alerts.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield police asked residents to avoid the area surrounding the 24100 block of Main Street as officers respond to an "active incident."
Police issued the alert around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, asking residents to stay away "while officers work to safely resolve the situation."
On social media, residents nearby reported getting an alert asking them to shelter in place due to a "high-priority incident" until further notice.
