1 Dead In Romeoville Crash Involving Pedestrian: Police
The crash happened Thursday near the intersection of Independence Boulevard and Alexander Circle.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — One person is dead after a vehicle struck a pedestrian Thursday evening, shutting down a section of Independence Boulevard, Romeoville officials said.
In a news release, police said officers responded to a crash at 8:05 p.m. near the intersection of Independence Boulevard and Alexander Circle.
Officials said a vehicle struck a pedestrian, "resulting in a fatality."

As of around 9:45 p.m., Independence Boulevard remained closed, with southbound traffic shut down at Normantown Road and northbound traffic closed at Belmont Drive.
