Romeoville HS Students Explore Engineering Careers
Romeoville HS students took a workplace tour at CAGE Engineering.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — 18 students from Romeoville High School recently participated in a workplace tour at CAGE Engineering, gaining firsthand exposure to careers in engineering and advanced manufacturing within their local community, according to a release from the District.
During the visit, students toured the CAGE Engineering facility, and learned about the company’s role
in designing projects such as Jigzibik, a housing community for Native Americans in Chicago. Students also spoke with professional engineers, and had the opportunity to ask questions about career pathways, educational requirements, and the day-to-day responsibilities of engineers working in the field, the District said.
The District said the experience was designed to increase student awareness of locally available high-demand career options and to help students connect their academic learning to real-world applications.
