Obituary: Randall "Randy" Hicks

Randy loved camping and sitting by a warm bonfire, as well as riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandsons.

Randall S. Hicks “Randy”

Randall S. Hicks, age 61, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Randy was born on November 26, 1964, in Joliet, IL, the son of Clifford and Patricia (nee Richards) Hicks. He was a graduate of Joliet East High School, Class of 1983.

Randy fought a long, hard battle with strength and resilience, and while our hearts are heavy with his loss we find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.

His faithful dog, Tinkerbell, was his constant companion and best friend, rarely leaving his side. He was a proud member of the Izaak Walton League of America, Walter Sherry Chapter. Randy loved camping and sitting by a warm bonfire, as well as riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandsons.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Jodi; sons, Jason Hicks, Brett (Nancy) Hicks, and Dillon Hicks; father, Cliff (Sally) Hicks; grandchildren, Mason and Axel; brother, Ray (Donna) Hicks Sr.; nephews, RJ (Rachel) Hicks, Brian (Ky) Hicks, and Erik Hicks; dear friend, Leonard Turner; three great-nephews and one great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pat.

Memorial contributions in Randy’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Due to his request, cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
