3 St. Charles Park District Seats Up For Election In 2027

Candidates can begin picking up election packets Aug. 18, with petitions circulating beginning Aug. 25 and filing opening Nov. 16.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Three seats on the St. Charles Park District Board of Commissioners will be up for election in the April 6, 2027, consolidated election.

The three positions are four-year terms. Candidates interested in running can pick up election information packets beginning Aug. 18 at Baker Community Center, 101 S. Second St., during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Candidates can begin circulating nominating petitions Aug. 25.

Completed petitions must be filed with Jenny Santos at Baker Community Center between 8 a.m. Nov. 16 and 5 p.m. Nov. 23.

Park district commissioners serve without compensation and are expected to attend at least two to three meetings each month, as well as serve on committees and represent the park district as liaisons to various nonprofit groups and organizations.

Candidates must be residents of the St. Charles Park District.
