Body Found In Fox River Near St. Charles: Reports

The discovery, the latest in a string of bodies recovered from the river, was made Wednesday evening.

ST. CHARLES, IL — A body was discovered in the Fox River near St. Charles on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

A death investigation was under way after a body was recovered around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Rockwell Avenue and Grove Avenue, according to WGN.

The Kane County sheriff's and coroner's offices are investigating.

The discovery is the latest in a string of bodies recovered from the Fox River. In April, a man's body was pulled from the river in St. Charles. He was identified as an elderly South Elgin man.

In June, the body of a missing 16-year-old girl from Elgin was found in the river.
