Body Pulled From Fox River ID'd As St. Charles Woman

The 41-year-old's body was found Wednesday evening.

ST. CHARLES, IL — The body found Wednesday in the Fox River has been identified as 41-year-old Amanda Flick of St. Charles, WGN reported.

The preliminary cause of death was found to be drowning, but a death investigation is underway.

The body was recovered around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Rockwell Avenue and Grove Avenue.

The discovery is the latest in a string of bodies recovered from the Fox River. In April, a man's body was pulled from the river in St. Charles. He was identified as an elderly South Elgin man.

In June, the body of a missing 16-year-old girl from Elgin was found in the river.
