Woman, 44, Found Dead In Driveway Early Saturday: Coroner

Preliminary evidence shows the woman died from injuries consistent with an auto-versus-pedestrian incident, authorities said.

KANE COUNTY, IL — A 44-year-old woman was found dead in the driveway of her Campton Hills residence early Saturday morning, according to the Kane County Coroner’s Office.

Campton Hills police notified the coroner’s office at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Saturday regarding an unresponsive woman, who was later identified as Nena Peduzzi, according to the coroner's office. Emergency responders pronounced Peduzzi dead at the scene.

An autopsy conducted Monday found preliminary evidence of cranial and cerebral injuries consistent with an auto-versus-pedestrian incident, officials said. Toxicology samples were collected and will be analyzed at a national forensic laboratory.
